Dr. Vincent J. Mandola MD

     Vincent J. Mandola, MD, is a sports medicine and family medicine physician treating awide range of patients. Dr. Mandola earned his Bachelor of Science degree from TexasA&M University and his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He then completed his residency training in family medicine at Houston Methodist in the Texas Medical Center and went on to complete his sports medicine fellowship training at Houston Methodist Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.

 

     Dr. Mandola treats a variety of conditions, both acute and chronic, with a focus on sports medicine. Some of these conditions include concussion management, arthritis, fractures, sprains, and treatment of other sports-related injuries as well as preventative primary care, treatment for minor illnesses and management of chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension. He also advises his patients on how to prevent injuries when patients embark on new adventures such as running a marathon or trying to achieve a new athletic goal.


     

     He has served as medical director for the Sugar Land Skeeters and currently serves as the team physician for Houston Baptist University, Houston Rodeo and several area schools. He has also provided medical coverage for
the PGA Tour, Rice University, Houston Dash, Houston Marathon, The Woodlands Marathon, Ironman The Woodlands, USA Olympic Team and Prairie View A&M University.


     He believes in building a strong relationship with his patients to develop an individualized treatment plan for each patient. As a former multisport athlete and someone with strong family values, he is dedicated to enriching the health of others in those arenas and enjoys caring for high level athletes, weekend warriors and the community.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, being on the water, fishing and watching sports.
